Marki Flannery Named One of NYC’s “Notable Women in Health Care”

Crain’s New York Business has selected Marki Flannery, VNSNY’s President and CEO, for its first-ever list of “Notable Women in Health Care” in the New York metropolitan area.

In this special supplement, Crain’s recognizes leaders who have impacted New York City through their achivements, and notes that its list is “inclusive and more reflective of the thousands of talented women in all corners of the industry.” In choosing Marki Flannery as one of its inaugural 78 leaders, Crain’s lets its readers know that VNSNY’s president and CEO is one of the “extraordinary women in health care.”

In their write-up, Crain’s praised Marki as “a stable presence at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York since 1982,” where her accomplishments have included building Partners in Care into the largest licensed home care agency in the New York City area. Noting that VNSNY is the nation’s largest not-for-profit home care agency with over 48,500 patients and members in its care on any given day, Crain’s goes on to cite Marki as “a national expert on the challenges facing the home care industry.”
