VNSNY depends on the generosity of people from all walks of life to support our life-changing programs and services. Contributions help us fulfill our mission to provide home care and community services to all New Yorkers, regardless of their financial circumstances. When you donate to VNSNY, your gift helps to ensure that the familiar knock of the Visiting Nurse Service of New York will be heard at the door of a New York area family who needs us.
It’s easy to change the life of one of our vulnerable neighbors. To make a one-time or recurring donation, visit our secure and convenient website, or download our gift form. You can choose to direct your contribution to a specific program or area of need, and make a gift in honor or in memory of a loved one or a special VNSNY staff member. In addition, you can make a gift through your donor advised fund.

At VNSNY, we make long-term giving easy, with many options.
You may wish to include VNSNY in your will, or make a tax-savvy gift such as an annuity, IRA, trust, retirement plan, or life insurance. All gifts will help us bring professional, skilled and compassionate medical care to those in need, continuing our charitable work for generations to come. Together, we can creatively craft your gift to maximize the impact on our patients and potentially create tax benefits for you and your family and/or income for life.
With your gift, we’ll welcome you to our Lillian Wald Heritage Society. We’ll thank you with invitations to special events and public recognition (if you agree). If you are one of the next 30 people to join the Society—thanks to the Levan-Ross Bequest Challenge—your intention will trigger an immediate $500 donation.
Join our Lillian Wald Heritage Society and help New Yorkers in need—now and in the future. Visit the Challenge page or send back our Intent statement.
Making a gift by bequest to VNSNY can be as simple as inserting a paragraph into your will. See the sample language below.
“I give, devise and bequeath to Visiting Nurse Service of New York, with offices at 107 E. 70th Street, New York, NY 10021 and federal tax ID 13-3189926, or its successors in interest, exclusive of my lifetime giving, if any, the sum of $ , to be used for its general purposes at the sole discretion of its trustees.”
Your attorney can change this to a percentage of your residual estate or a specific asset, or to specify a particular program. Please have them contact us if we can help: Tony Martignetti, Esq., 212-609-1556 or [email protected].
Life income gifts allow you to help fund VNSNY’s mission while providing you with a lifelong income stream and tax advantages, including in many cases partially tax-free annuity payments. Income-producing plans offered by VNSNY include: Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and Charitable Lead Trusts. You can help bring much needed home- and community-based care to the lives of your neighbors simply by naming VNSNY as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension, or other retirement plan. Depending on the gift, there may be immediate tax benefits, or savings to your estate.
