Special fundraising events are held throughout the year to support the Visiting Nurse Service of New York’s charitable and community benefit programs so that compassionate care can be provided to the most vulnerable and underserved populations who need it most.
Annually, VNSNY hosts two major fundraising events, including the fall VNSNY Benefit Dinner and the spring Golf Classic. Both events are successful ways for VNSNY to build awareness of our mission and help generate contributions from philanthropic organizations and individuals.
The Visiting Nurse Service of New York 2020 Golf Classic will be postponed until Monday, August 3rd
As the current COVID-19 situation rapidly evolves, VNSNY is preemptively changing the date of this year’s tournament at Wykagyl Country Club.
Our veterans need us now more than ever. You should have recently received an invitation to the 2020 VNSNY Golf Classic in the mail, which explains how the funds from this event will support the VNSNY Veterans Programs.
During this unprecedented health crisis, we are dedicated to continuing our mission today and always – to protecting the health and welfare of our workforce, patients and plan members, while providing care to our most vulnerable fellow New Yorkers. The COVID-19 coronavirus is far from the first health crisis that VNSNY has assisted in over the past century and a quarter. Please watch this 50-second video for a stirring reminder of how VNSNY has risen to meet these challenges as an essential part of the public health fabric of New York City!
As you consider supporting this event, we hope you remain healthy and safe. Please go to www.vnsny.org/2020Golf to see the many ways you can participate and help VNSNY and the veterans who are in our care.
Please keep our healthcare workforce, patients and plan members in your thoughts during this difficult time.
Please contact John Billeci at [email protected] or 212-609-1565 with any questions about the VNSNY 2020 Golf Classic, and we hope to see you in August.
Thank you for your continued support.
The Visiting Nurse Service of New York 2019 Benefit Dinner was held on Thursday, November 14th at the Ziegfeld Ballroom. The evening, themed “We Care Across New York,” raised a record-breaking $1.6 million for VNSNY Charitable Care and Community Benefit Programs.
Nearly 640 guests attended the event, which featured the presentation of the Lillian D. Wald Award to Steven M. Durels, Executive Vice President & Director of Leasing and Real Property of SL Green Realty Corp. Susan Fales-Hill was the Master of Ceremonies and Inspire Hearts Fundraising led an on-site paddle raise amongst the attendees, which raised nearly $75,000 towards the $1.6 million.
Proceeds from the event support VNSNY’s community and charitable care programs, which each year provide direct care and specialized support services to thousands of vulnerable New Yorkers, children and families, making VNSNY one of the largest and most innovative providers of home- and community-based services in the New York metropolitan area and in the United States.
