Researchers

We have a long history of collaborating with researchers, including students at the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree levels, as well as experienced Investigator Level researchers.

PhD Level Researchers
We regularly collaborate with PhD level researchers from numerous educational and professional institutions on grants, publications, and presentations, as well as pilot work.

Also, check out our Current Research Projects page to learn more about our current and past research projects.

If you are interested in presenting your work to or brainstorming with our staff, please email us.

Students

Many students have collaborated with VNSNY Research for school-related research projects, both utilizing our Center resources, including datasets, to enable their research goals, and also gaining valuable “real-world” experience conducting research in tandem with and under the mentorship of our experienced Center staff.

If you are a student and interested in working with us,  learning more about opportunities, or have questions for us otherwise, please contact us and let us know your situation.

Students have collaborated with us in many ways over the years.

If you are interested in collaborating with us on a student research project, please click the Researcher link above to learn more.

If you are interested in an internship for credit or experience, please contact us and let us know your situation and goals. We have had student interns in the social science and health services fields, as well as students studying administration, finance, accounting, and computer science—there are many types of work we do and many types of help we could use, so please reach out even if your field of study was not mentioned above!

Volunteers

We are fortunate to have had many volunteers work with the Center. This is a great opportunity for those who may not be able to commit to regular hours, or are simply interested in learning whether working in a research center and studying what we study is something they find as fulfilling as we do.

If you are considering a career in research or research administration, volunteering is the easiest and most flexible way to get started!

Volunteers usually start working at the Center on basic administration and research assistant tasks, but in many cases, have graduated into per diem and even full-time positions that became available, and in most cases, are given increasing responsibilities and opportunities over time.

Please contact us and tell us about your situation and interested if you are interested in volunteering.

Health Professionals

We often make presentations to health professionals in addition to research scientists, and our work at the Center also regularly includes evaluations and policy recommendations relating to “real-world” health services programs.

Please contact us if you are interested in having one of our researchers present to your group or if you manage a health services program that needs a scientific evaluation or policy recommendation, and tell us about your situation.
