Update: VNSNY Frontline Workers Receive the COVID-19 Vaccine

Once again, VNSNY is on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19. We received our first delivery of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on January 6, 2021, from the New York City Bureau of Immunization.

We immediately began giving COVID vaccinations to frontline clinical staff and home health aides. Thanks to coordinated efforts, the process went smoothly! We will continue to vaccinate colleagues over the next several weeks. Currently, all vaccinations are taking place at VNSNY’s East 42nd Street headquarters in Manhattan.

Some colleagues are sharing their thoughts and experiences before, during, and after their vaccinations. In these videos, VNSNY Community Mental Health Services (CMHS) Care Manager German (Alex) Buitrago and VNSNY Home Care nurse Nina Miro share their COVID-19 vaccination journey.
