Carlin Brickner, M.S.

Carlin Brickner, M.S., Statistical Analyst, joined the staff of the Center for Home Care Policy and Research as a Statistical Analyst in April of 2006. Mr. Brickner graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Statistics. In addition, he received a M.S. in Statistics from the University of Akron. While a Graduate Student, Mr. Brickner taught several sections of statistical computer application classes to undergraduate students. Prior to joining VNSNY, he was a Statistician Consultant for a Marketing Research firm specializing in Corporate Reputation.

At the Center for Home Care Policy and Research, Mr. Brickner works closely with quality management staff and other researchers to analyze and interpret clinical data, to identify and resolve data, and to evaluate the reliability of source information and organize results into reports. In addition, he assists in the design and implementation of evaluation studies. Mr. Brickner is working on a variety of projects related to outcomes evaluation for post-acute and long-term home care. His current projects include analyzing a remote monitoring device for patients, patient satisfaction, and building a long-term predictive risk-model for hospitalization. Mr. Brickner is also currently enrolled in a Doctorate of Public Health Program in Biostatistics at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
