Know the Signs of Falls Risk

When assistance is required to walk around, there is a falls risk.Look for these signs to tell if your loved one may be at risk:

  • They have falls-related injuries (bruises, scrapes, etc.).
  • They hold onto furniture or walls for balance.
  • They stumble or trip when walking.
  • They walk at a noticeably slower pace than before.
  • They lean forward, or to one side, when walking.
  • They require assistance to walk around.
