At the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, we understand the issues people living in Nassau County face every day. We know that if you are ill or injured or elderly, it can be hard to travel from place to place by car, bus or on foot, or to do even the most basic and necessary errands. We know you live in the very real world of the New York metro area and that is why we offer a wide range of services. From pediatrics to senior care, short-term interventions to long-term management, our skilled nurses, clinical professionals and home health aides have the medical expertise and compassion you need to live your best life possible.

At VNSNY, we've served patients in Nassau County since 2003, and we’re a part of the fabric of the community:

  • Of our approximately 13,000 employees, nearly 300 live in Nassau County.
  • We served more than 6,000 patients in Nassau County in 2007.
  • Our multi-lingual staff members are able to provide care to patients who don’t speak English comfortably—and that’s nearly 10 percent of our patients in Nassau County.

Nassau County residents may take advantage our services, such as post-hospital care and maternal-newborn pediatrics. We also offer a flu vaccination program.

VNSNY can help make the transition from hospital to home as easy as possible, with no gaps in your care or treatment. We also accept referrals from every hospital in Nassau County, and we have nurses on-site at some hospitals.
