VNSNY’s Early Intervention Program professionals work with you and your child’s pediatrician to establish a comprehensive care plan. Through Early Intervention, a child with language or motor delays, disabilities, or other developmental problems receives the therapies needed to reach age-appropriate milestones. These therapies include speech, occupational and physical therapy, special education, respite, family counseling and family support groups.
This innovative VNSNY program in the Rockaway community of Queens emphasizes teen families and their children up to three years of age, though pregnant women up to age 25 are also accepted.
