At VNSNY, we recognize the fact that patients often feel more comfortable and, in some cases, recover more quickly, when they receive care from nurses and other caregivers who speak their language and reflect their cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We're also sensitive to the fact that more than 56% of the city's population are foreign born or the children of foreign born.
