What is the Hispanic/Latino program?
At the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, we're proud of our long tradition of providing home health care services to New York City's Hispanic community. Our Hispanic/Latino program tailors our comprehensive home health care and community-based services to New York City's population of more than two-million Hispanics. We offer cultural sensitivity and respect to both patients and their families.
A large pool of Hispanic caregivers
We have a large pool of Hispanic home health care caregivers (the largest in the New York metropolitan area, in fact). We have Spanish-speaking nurses, rehabilitation therapists, social workers, home health aides, and translators.

- Patient forms and educational materials in Spanish
- Partnership programs between VNSNY and key Hispanic organizations
- Referrals to Hispanic community resources
- A close alliance with Hispanic community agencies, doctors, hospitals, and managed-care organizations
