Our Annual Fall Fundraising Gala is a black-tie dinner dance that provides an opportunity to enjoy a great evening with friends or family, while helping the community.

Our 2007 Gala, "Investing in Children, Strengthening Families," took place on Thursday, November 8th at the Waldorf = Astoria, where the Lillian D. Wald Award was presented to Peter G. Bergmann, Esq., Partner, Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, and to Barbara and Donald Jonas, Advisors, Barbara & Donald Jonas Family Fund. The award is presented each year in recognition of individuals who have made significant contributions to the health and welfare of New Yorkers. The event raises funds for our Children & Family Services program, which provides a full continuum of home and community based care. From prevention through intervention, VNSNY’s Children and Family Services aid the most vulnerable, socially at-risk children and young parents. Every dollar donated enables VNSNY to help families cope with the impact of a low birth weight baby, a critically ill child, a child with developmental delays or teenage pregnancy. For the fourth straight year, the event raised more than $1 million. It was attended by more than 700 people.
