Below is a list of schools that prepare students for the LPN licensure Bronx Community College Practical Nursing Program This program is 18 months long involving 3 semesters of pre-clinical courses scheduled 3 evenings and every Saturday per week. In addition, there is a summer attendance done on a part-time evening basis. Application for financial aid is offered through the college. The applicant must apply for admission to Bronx Community College and then can apply for the LPN program at any time when registration is offered at the college. Classes begin in September. In addition to a high school diploma or a GED, there are certain other requirements (such as the college math and english admission test and a NLN pre-nursing exam) that must be completed before starting the LPN program. A certificate is given upon completion of the program and the candidate is then eligible to take the state-board exam.**
