Bronx Fatherhood Initiatives

Bronx Fatherhood Program

Our mission is to ensure that all fathers who wish to be actively involved in their child’s life get the chance to do so. We work with young fathers to show them that they are not just a financial provider to their child, but a nurturer as well. We help them to understand how important it is to work collaboratively with the child’s mother in bringing up the child. We also help fathers set and achieve personal and professional goals for themselves, to become positive role models for their children and stay actively engaged in all aspects of their children’s education and care.

To be eligible for the Bronx Fatherhood Program, you need to be:

  • Between 16 and 24 years old
  • A non-custodial father
  • Living in the Bronx—in Community Districts 1, 4, 5 or 9

Father's First Program

The Fathers First Program is a place where fathers from any walk of life can get what they need to be better fathers, including health care referrals, job listings, and help with legal issues. First and foremost, it is a place where fathers can come together and talk. The goal of the Fathers First Program is to provide services that will improve the lives of men who are facing the awesome responsibility of parenthood.  

To be eligible for the Fathers First Program, you need to be:

  • A father residing in the Rockaway community
  • A father of a child enrolled in EHS
  • A father referred to us from another program
