As a dietitian with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, you’ll combine your nutritional expertise with an open-minded approach to bringing healthier food choices home to a diverse patient population.
Each case is an opportunity to educate and coach patients to make life-improving changes that affect their health and well-being. You may find yourself explaining the importance of a proper diet to the parents of a diabetic child, helping an AIDS or cancer patient find nutritionally sound yet appealing foods, or assisting a cardiac patient make the transition to a healthier way of eating. The rewards? Seeing the impact of your work on real lives, in real-life settings, every day.
We’re looking for full-time and part-time staff and per-diem dietitians to work in Early Intervention, VNSNY CHOICE/Managed Long-Term Care, and Long-Term Home Health Care Program, HIV/AIDS Services. (Openings vary by program and service region.)
If you have a current registration to practice as a registered dietitian from the American Dietetic Association and professional experience, we invite you to explore home health care at VNSNY as a career option.
