Escorts/Translators

Of the patients served by VNSNY, more than 25 percent speak languages other than English. Many are elderly and have limited mobility.

Our Escorts/Translators accompany nurses and therapists on home care visits, using their bilingual skills to help clinicians communicate with patients and deliver care by providing translation services in such languages as Cantonese, Mandarin, Creole, Korean, Polish, Russian, and Spanish. When they are not in the field, these staff members perform a variety of clerical services that support office operations.

If you are looking to enter the home health care field, are fluent in English and a targeted language (see the specifications of our job postings), and have a high school diploma or its equivalent, we’d like to speak with you.
